  Join us for our April General Membership Meeting (Virtual) on April 23 at 6:30pm.

  Our April GMM will focus on how to write and submit project proposals for the upcoming 2024-2025 league year. We will also be discussing our upcoming end of year league awards, as well as end of year  league events, socials and more.

  This will be an interactive and fun evening that you are not going to want to miss. As always all members: provisional, active and sustainer are invited to join! 

  Bring something fun to drink! A drink of your choice or can we suggest a Connecticut classic cocktail from our Centennial Celebration Cookbook?!

• Volunteering with Common Ground Farm

  Join us at Common Ground High School, Urban Farm & Environmental Center to support their community farm. The food grown at Common Ground goes to the school cafeteria, sold at a farm stand, and donated to local organization to meet the needs of the food insecure in New Haven.

  When: Anytime between 10-2, typically I find that 2-3 hours is a good amount of time before folks get tired - let us know what time to expect you!

  Where: 358 Springside Avenue. Park in the main lot and meet us at the Harvest Pavilion, it's the open air structure at the front of the vegetable farm (We will have signs or be there to greet you!) What: We will be doing physical work! Some examples of projects include... moving woodchips, weeding and feeding weeds to the animals, clipping vines, wheelbarrowing compost, preparing a garden bed, etc...

  Who: There will be two farmers that day- Schandra and Diane. One of us will be here to greet your group and get you started on work projects. We will also have a group of high school students working with us that are part of a paid job training program!

  Please come prepared : Solid close-toed shoes (boots, sneakers, etc...), clothing for the weather- layers, gloves,etc..; a water bottle and snacks/lunch if you need!
