Transfer volunteer membership

Have you recently moved or you planning to move to Connecticut? 

The Junior League of Greater New Haven welcomes Association of Junior League International (AJLI) members transferring from Leagues around the world. Contact your current League and ask them to transfer your membership to the JLGNH or contact our membership director at membership@jlgnh.org for more information about our League!

We accept transfers throughout the year. You’ll get a special advisor to help you get around Connecticut, as well as lead you through the transfer training, JLGNH 301. The JLGNH has fun socials and events throughout the year to learn about your new area and get to know all of our members! 

Dues payments for transferring members to the Junior League of Greater New Haven are structured as follows:

  • Transferring members pay dues to the League to which they belong as of July 1st. 
  • A member whose written request for transfer is sent between July 1 and January 1 will receive a refund of 50% of the annual dues of the sending Junior League, exclusive of AJLI per capita dues. The Junior League of Greater New Haven may then collect no more than 50% of its dues exclusive of AJLI per capita dues.
  • A member whose written request for a transfer is sent after January 1 will not be entitled to any refund of dues from the sending Junior League and the receiving Junior League of Greater New Haven will collect no dues from such incoming member.

TRANSFER OUT OF THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF GREATER NEW HAVEN

If you are moving out of the New Haven area and would like to transfer your membership to another League, please contact membership@jlgnh.org and the Membership Director will help you connect to your new League.
